First Post on the Block

It's June 1st, almost half way thru the year and I'm scratching this "to-do" off my list. Much of what I intend to post here will be what I consider my "backroad photography" as well as some of my people photos. Inevitably, you'll see my princess, as she is a willing model, for the time being.This rose is from an early morning "shoot-out" with some fellow photographers. There were many beautiful roses, but we were a week past the prime for many varieties. Although scorched looking, this rose caught my eye. Mom always says to stop and smell the roses. She's right, of course.
